Freebooter

You forsook your nation and given name to live a life free from authority and responsibility. You may have been in service to a lord or military and are always on the move to stay one step ahead of them. Every Freebooter has a certain anxious air to them if pressed about their past as they are all running from something. You live your life one day and one coin at a time as you use your connections, knowledge, and skills to get by.

There is a 50% chance in each town you visit that you will know a thief, mercenary, thug, etc that owes you a small favor such as providing loggings for one night.

Your old life was suffocating and left you with no freedom. 1- You were enlisted in the military and deserted. 2- You were a bodyguard and your mark was killed. 3- You were part of a guild and they did give you the credit you deserved. 4- You were backstabbed by your last party and left for dead. 5- You were discredited and blamed for a crime you did not commit. 6- You were part of a crew that just didn’t understand you at all.
