Duplicious
Duplicious Hexlords specialize in hiding Jinxes, Hexes, and Curses for others to find. They are dubious individuals that make even other Hexlords trepidatious. In order to use their skills to their fullest potential they work hard to be able to use more Jinxes, Hexes, and Curses than other Hexlords. While their skills are not flashy, they get the job done in a manner that is well, quite frankly nothing to boast about.
Subclass Features
Origin Curse Spells
Your newly discovered origin ensures you always have certain spells prepared. You know the following spells and they do not count towards the number of spells you can prepare.
| Level | Prepared Spells |
|---|---|
| 3 | Alarm, Minor Illusion, See Invisibility, Silent Image, Web |
| 5 | Glyph of Warding, Major Image |
| 7 | Greater Invisibility, Hallucinatory Terrain |
| 9 | Mislead, Seeming |
Deceiver
You are skilled in deception and many other unscrupulous skills. You gain proficiency with Deception or Expertise with Deception if you are already proficient with it. In addition, you know Thieves’ Cant.
Jinx Savant
You can use each of your Jinx features one additional time more each long rest (DEX modifier (Minimum 1) +1).
Jinx Runes
You have learned the secret written form of Hexspeech, which is a series of bumps and ridges, and can use it to store a Jinx until the requirement is met. You can expend a use of a Jinx feature and spend 10 minutes inscribing a Small or Medium sized nonmagical item or surface with Jinx Runes. The item or surface then contains the Jinx you rolled until either the requirement is met and the Jinx activates or you create more items with Jinx Runes than you are able to maintain. If you exceed the limit you must choose one active item or surface with Jinx Runes and dismiss the effect.
You set the requirement upon inscribing the runes such as: until the intended recipient of the Jinx touches it, a 1st or higher level spell is cast within 5 ft of it, or a similar trigger. Until the condition is met the Jinx is inert and can only be detected by means that would reveal it such as the spell Detect Magic or by a DC 18 Investigation check that must be done by means of directly feeling the lumps and rides of written Hexspeech. Though detecting it this way reveals nothing except the presence of odd markings unless the creature is versed with Jinxes, Hexes, and Cures.
You can maintain a number of surfaces or items inscribed with Jinx Runes equal to your DEX modifier (Minimum 1).
Jinx Savant
You can use each of your Jinx features two additional times more each long rest (DEX modifier (Minimum 1) +2).
Hex Savant
You can use each of your Hex features one additional time more each long rest (DEX modifier (Minimum 1) +1).
Hex Runes
You learned a more advanced written form of Hexspeech and can use it to hide the source of a Hex. You can expend a use of a Hex feature and spend an additional 10 minutes inscribing a Small or Medium sized nonmagical item or surface with Hex Runes. The item or surface then opens a small pocket dimension that holds and hides the source of the Hex until either the source of the Hex is destroyed by you or other means or you conceal more sources of Hexes with Hex Runes than you are able to maintain. If you exceed the limit you must choose one active item or surface with Hex Runes and dismiss the effect, at this time you choose to have the source of the Hex appear where the Hex Runes were inscribed or dismiss the source of the Hex.
The source of the Hex is undetectable and can only be detected by means that would reveal it such as the spell Detect Magic or by a DC 18 Investigation check that must be done by means of directly feeling the lumps and rides of written Hexspeech. Though detecting it this way reveals nothing except the presence of odd markings unless the creature is versed with Jinxes, Hexes, and Cures.
You can maintain a number of surfaces or items inscribed with Hex Runes equal to your DEX modifier (Minimum 1).
Jinx Savant
You can use each of your Jinx features three additional times more each long rest (DEX modifier (Minimum 1) +3).
Hex Savant
You can use each of your Hex features two additional times more each long rest (DEX modifier (Minimum 1) +2).
Curse Savant
You can use each of your Curse features one additional time more each long rest (DEX modifier (Minimum 1) +1).

Curse Savant
You can use each of your Curse features two additional times more each long rest (DEX modifier (Minimum 1) +2).
Curse Runes
You learned the most advanced written form of Hexspeech and can use it to hide a Curse until the requirement is met. You can expend a use of a Curse feature as well as the spell slot to cast it and spend 10 minutes inscribing a Small or Medium sized nonmagical item or surface with Curse Runes. The item or surface then contains the Curse either the requirement is met and the Curse activates or you create more items with CurseRunes than you are able to maintain. If you exceed the limit you must choose one active item or surface with Curse Runes and dismiss the effect.
You set the requirement upon inscribing the runes such as: until the intended recipient of the Curse touches it, a 1st or higher level spell is cast within 5 ft of it, or a similar trigger. The trigger can be the same as the Curses or a different one. Until the condition is met the Curse is inert and can only be detected by means that would reveal it such as the spell Detect Magic or by a DC 18 Investigation check that must be done by means of directly feeling the lumps and rides of written Hexspeech. Though detecting it this way reveals nothing except the presence of odd markings unless the creature is versed with Jinxes, Hexes, and Cures.
You can maintain a number of surfaces or items inscribed with Curse Runes equal to your DEX modifier (Minimum 1).
