Krinth
2 variants
Fight, rest, eat, play, work. The mind of the Krinth is prone to chaos but when given the control they crave they become powerful tools that can accomplish a great deal. They have many origin stories but only claim that they are of the Plane of Shadows. The Krinth are warriors that know mostly violence and have a deeply embedded racial slave mentality that they embrace with pride.
Slaves and Warriors
Krinth are born slaves and are often unable to operate without orders from others in extreme cases with most feeling deeply empty and uncomfortable when someone is not above them. The extremely rare Krinth found outside of the Plane of Shadows almost immediately sell themselves into mercenary bands in order to give themselves structure and commanders over them. They know almost nothing of everyday life and only work or fight.
Denizens of the Plane of Shadows
Krinth are tall humanoids with dusky gray skin, black hair, and black eyes. They weigh between 150 and 250 lbs and are between five and seven ft tall. Their appearance varies depending on whether their non-demonic ancestor was human, dwarf, orc, or some other humanoid. Dwarf-related Krinth are not as short as Dwarves but are smaller than other varieties of Krinth.
Dedicated, Unruly, and Angry
A Krinth is typically grumpy and humorless, with a short temper. They work hard at everything they do, whether a job or play, setting their minds to complete any given task. Despite being dedicated to duty, they otherwise are very chaotic in their mindsets. Because of their demonic heritage, they are often evil-hearted. There are many origin stories of the Krinth but they reject them all no matter the evidence and choose to believe that they are the natural inhabitants of the Plane of Shadow and were rightfully conquered and enslaved by the mighty Netherese.
