Muckdweller
Small amphibian creatures that dwell in swamps. Muckdwellers are cowards that ambush from the mud to attack unsuspecting prey. In groups they are a threat to even large prey as they swarm over them.
Tiny Humanoid Amphibians
Muckdwellers are bipeds, with mottled gray and brown skin and a pale yellow underbelly. Their tails are short, they have webbed feet, and small, weak arms. They are often dripping mud or are encrusted in dried mud that flakes off of them. In nature they are hard to distinguish from a small stone or piece of wood in the mud.
Cowardly Individuals
Individually Muckdwellers are cowardly and will flee a fight. When they gather in groups or have strong allies their cruel sides show through. As their numbers grow they become more orderly, assigning roles and hunting parties and often pairing off with strong allies.
Naturally Subservient
They are naturally subservient and survive on the fringes of Bullywug, Koa-Toa, or Lizardfolk societies. If they are separated from their fellow Muckdwellers, they will endear themselves to a powerful ally, usually one who is evil and frequents swampy areas.
