Shatjan
Much like a Minotaur but built for the cold with features of a reindeer, eld, or moos instead of a bull, the Shatjan keep to the cold places of the world and live in peace focused on survival. They are slow to anger and seek to keep to themselves unless provoked.
Solitary Shepherds
These solitary creatures follow the reindeer as they migrate across the vast expanses of icy forests. They live in small communities in temporary camps during the warm summer months and divide to look after their herds during the winter months to conserve food in the harsh environment. When they come across others they are polite and often offer very fair trades for the vegetables that they rely upon.
Reindeer Folk
These creatures possess the body of a man or woman, but the head of a reindeer, elk, or moose. Their torsos are well muscled and males have large antlers crowning their head. Females have a much smaller set of antlers. Thick fur covers their head, neck, shoulders and forearms. Shatjan make their clothing from animal skins and tree bark. Most of these creatures prefer to decorate their clothing and bodies with strange symbols whose purpose is only known to themselves.
Slow to Aggression
Though fearsome to behold, these creatures do not lust after combat. When forced into combat, they are incredibly comfortable fighting in the snow and ice, which was often an advantage over their attackers. Unless directly confronted or attacked it takes a lot to upset these easy going shepherds and they make ideal traders for they are always fair and never hotheaded and when they do make it out of the wilderness, they also make perfect diplomats and aristocrats for the same reason.
