Star Spawn Grue
4 variants
They are heralds of doom that arrive in the craters of asteroids that have fallen to the material plane. They serve as the hands and eyes of Elder Evils as scouts, spies, and shock troopers. They all start as Grues but are developed based on what their Elder Evil desires to better suit their dark mission.
Servants of Elder Evils
They are birthed by Elder Evils to be their hands and senses on the material plane. They share their creator’s hunger, bloodlust, and alien mind. They are a blight on the world and often act in ways that are incomprehensible to anyone other than other Star Spawn or Elder Evils. Where they go, madness and death follows.
Hands of Aberrant Evil
Star Spawn start as alien beings composed of a hivemind of worms that weave together into an approximation of a humanoid. They crawl out of the craters of the meteors that they fell with to infect the land. They are lipless, ever-grining madly staring aberrations with spindly arms and legs with pallid skin and long fingers. They steal whatever clothing and disguises they can to incorporate into society and become spies for their Elder Evil master. Upon death their form can take many paths determined by the lord’s needs.
Part of the Star Spawn
Star Spawns are part of the “star” that spawned them. No one knows exactly what is being referred to but this source allows them to evolve after dying as a Grue to become a being of frightful power and varied abilities. It is said that a Star Spawn is functionally immortal, in an endless cycle of death and rebirth as their alien minds are recycled in countless iterations of servants for their Elder Evil.

Destructive Evolution
If you drop to 0 hit points you die without a saving throw and are reborn provided your body remains intact for 1D10 days. After this time you arise as an evolved species (The place and manner of your revival is determined by the DM). This change does not occur if the death was intentional or if you took Radiant damage within the last round.
