Bladeling
Harsh beings of metal that were forged in the conflict of Gehenna the Bladelings are a powerful race full of culture yet have been forced to become infamous xenophobics. They look dangerous and can be harsh in their dealings unless approached with politeness and respect.
Metallic Skin and Spines
Bladelings stand tall averaging 6 ft with purple eyes and dull metallic skin. They are covered in irregular patches of spines that appear all over their bodies. A Bladeling’s skin is metallic and can be susceptible to some spells that affect metal and come in a variety of hues.
A Bladeling’s skin is their main feature. It is composed of an unknown metal specific to Bladelings and while protective, it can have parts of it shot off them as shrapnel. It is said the Bladelings were once a favored prey of Rust Dragons and an instinctual fear resides deep within each Bladeling whether or not they realize it.
Infamous Xenophobes
Raised in the harsh environment of Acheron, Bladelings earned their xenophobia through countless battles and interactions with the fiends of the Lower Planes. While they will treat hostility with death they are willing to talk if outsiders are polite. Another byproduct of their dealings with their fiendish neighbors is a distinct and strong superstition towards otherworldly beings.
Distinct Gender Roles
Female Bladelings are called to be priestesses and are more inclined to arcane skill. Male Bladelings are warriors that fight with blades and spiked fists to defend the populace. A rare and mighty priest-king rules the one and only city of Zoronor and many Bladelings follow him with finatical zeal. The primary role of both genders is the defense of their race as a whole.
