Rippling muscles, tall builds, and a veneration in some way or another of the All Father link the many varied subraces of Giant Kin. While they may never be a cohesive group, they at least can have a great time taking down powerful enemies should the call come. May all glory be to the All Father in all that is done.
Massive and Proud
There is an inherent pride in the large body and impressive strength of the Giant Kin as they reflect their true giant brethren. Standing above most mortal races the Giant Kin are indomitable and mighty, standing at the pinnacle of strength.
Annam the All-Father and the Ordning
All Giant Kin share the same origin along with their true giant brethren. Annam and Othea joined and gave rise to the true giants. Giant Kin came from flings from Othea and arcane experiments between humanoids and true giants.
Annam declared the Ordning once he stepped back and gave his mortal children autonomy. All true giants instinctively follow the Ordning and Giant Kin are greatly influenced by it.
The Ordning goes as follows declaring the hierarchy of all Giants: Titans, Storm Giants, Cloud Giants, Fog Giants, Fire Giants, Frost Giants, Stone Giants, Mountain Giants, Hill Giants, Ettins, Giant Kin, Wood Giants, Oni, Cyclops, Trolls, and Ogres. With Firbolgs, Formorians, and Death Giants falling outside the Ordning with Firbolgs rejecting it, Formorians being banished for following Fey and other deities other than Annam, and Death Giants selling their souls to the Ravenqueen. Every giant who is above the others is to be obeyed and honored. For example the sickliest and lowest Storm Giant is greater than even the strongest Cloud Giant in the Ordning.
The Dragon Empire, the Fall of Giants
A massive battle where every member of the Ordning was called to fight the greatest army ever to exist on the mortal plane: the empire of the dragons. Their battles decimated each race as they slaughtered each other in droves leaving the Giants crippled and the dragons deep in civil war. Every true giant and Giant Kin share some form of animosity with the dragons for the fall of their empire and the downfall of the race as a whole.
