Lizardfolk
11 variants
Cold and unfeeling, the reptilian beings that rule the swamps and high desert. They are highly territorial and even more dangerous when a rare King or Queen arises from their race. The dragon worshippers that live to conquer lesser races.
Scaled Brutes
Bred for strength, these large, crested bipedal lizards are a force to be reckoned with. They shun intelligence and keep no records and do not write. They are singularly devoted to eating, fighting, and breeding. The perfect warrior people. They live primitive lives devoted to their own race. With other Lizardfolks and the rare friend they are loyal, honest, and straightforward. They literally do not know the concept of deception, good, or evil.
True and Secret Gods
The Lizardfolk have a true god named Semuanya, who rules through a representative called the Splint Scaled Herald. Semuanya no longer communicates directly to their chosen race. One of the few dictates left from their god is to shun intelligence. This gap left room for the lizard-like demon Sess’Inek to raise intelligent and evil rulers from time to time. They do not know religion in the sense of the other races, though they do respect those with magic power.
Primitive Warriors
Lizardfolk only use primitive weapons and keep oral histories. They do not know about art or politics. They eat their dead as a form of respect to reclaim their strength. They cannot stand trickery, strategy, or schemes. They do not see the past or future, only the now. Death does not affect them, if they die or their comrades die, they become food. They have approximations of anger, pleasure, and fear but do not truly feel.
