Nymph-Kin
4 variants
Literally beauty incarnate, Nymph-Kin are the result of a Nymph being captured or reduced in some way, becoming mortal and losing the deadly nature of their beauty. Each Nymph-Kin is obsessed with regaining their immortality and restoring their domain.
Corrupted Beauty
Nymphs are the epitome of perfection literally spawned in places of remote, perfect beauty. A true Nymph can blind and kill those that see its perfect form. Nymph-Kin have had their domains and their forms corrupted, robbing them of immortality and supernatural beauty. Once lovers of music and beauty, Nymph-Kin became spiteful of beautiful things as they were robbed by an outside force.
Pitied by Nature Gods
Nymphs are loved by the gods of nature, Nymph-Kin are pitied by them in their fallen state. To buy time for the Nymph-Kin to restore themselves and their domains to their former glory, each domain of a Nymph-Kin is protected by a nature god. Nymph-Kin know that this protection is necessary to their survival but are deeply resentful at being pitied as they are normally paragons that even gods dote upon.
Reflections of Domains
Like a Dryad is tied to their tree, Nymphs are tied to their untouched natural wonder that spawned them. After being corrupted their domains become cursed and are now anathema to the gaze of their Nymph-Kin. For instance, a pure spring can become an acrid swamp pumping vile poison into the land after their Nymph falls and become a Nymph-Kin. As Nymph-Kin recover their domains reflect this and begin to return to their former glory.
