Obode
The Obode are tribal Walrus Folk that shun outsiders and fight to the death when confronted in combat. They are massive and imposing and use their tusks to deal massive damage to those that find themselves in the deadly position of being smaller than their Obode attacker. They keep to themselves guarding their hunting grounds and homes.
Defenders of the Tundra
Obodes live in the deepest reaches of the coldest places of the material plane with a few dwelling on the Para-Elemental Plane of Ice. They rarely travel to warmer locales and complain a great deal when they are forced to endure heat. They are highly territorial, often defending their hunting ground and home to the death. Every encounter that comes to blows is taken seriously with an almost berserk rage taking over them with few Obode allowing for peaceful resolution.
Proud Walrus Folk
The Obode are humanoid walruses with dextrous flippers that look clumsy but function as well as hands for other races. They are 6-7.5 ft tall and weigh between 350-400 lbs. They are hulking brutes with thick necks, broad shoulders, and large bellies. Both male and female Obode have 12 inch long tusks and have a thick and wiry bristly beard on their chins. Their skin is scarred and brown/gray in color.
Deeply Bound with Tradition
Obodes form tight-knit tribes that are outright hostile to outsiders. Each tribe has a mighty leader called the elder who governs all aspects of the tribe and teaches every child at a young age the long verbal history that each elder keeps memorized. Each tribe can be easily identified by the tribal tattoos that each mature Obode has imprinted on them as part of their coming of age ceremony. Every tribe has a hunting ground of a vast ice sheet where they dive and hunt fish and a forest where they take shelter and raise Winter Wolves to pull their sleds.

Thick Blubber
You have a thick layer of fat under your skin. You have Resistance to Cold and Bludgeoning damage.
Piercing Tusks
You have a pair of long and sharp tusks that can be used as an unarmed attack to deal 1D12 Piercing damage. In order to make an attack with your tusks, the target must be Grappled by you, Prone, or be one Size smaller than you.
Territorial
You are highly aggressive when creatures invade your space. When a creature moves within 5 ft of you, you can use your reaction to make a melee attack.
