Quick as a blur most never see a Quickling but do notice that their coin purse is missing or that their achilles tendon has been severed. They run like their lives depend on it and think and scheme even faster. Their short lives burn brilliantly as they make the most of it.
Tiny Fast Fey
Quicklings are 2 ft tall humanoid Fey of slender build, similar in appearance to an elf, but with sharper, more feral features. Their eyes shine with a tiny yellow light within which one could almost see the cold and cruel mind of the Quickling. The Quicklings pale-blue to blue-white skin, and hair is often a snowy white color. They think and move quickly leaving a blur behind them.
Devious and Hyperactive
They are cruel, devious, and capricious. They are also quite hyperactive, preferring not to slow down. They constantly paced and shifted in place whenever they were forced to be "stationary." They spend most of their time performing acts of mischief on creatures slower than themselves and delight in causing suffering, especially when the blame falls on other creatures and causes further discord.
Cursed for Tardiness
Quicklings are evil Fey that ally themselves with the Seelie Court. The Queen of Air and Darkness presides over them. Once a tall and sluggish race, they were cursed to be small and never rest after being tardy for multiple summons. Now they live fast, having a reduced lifespan due to the energy they burn from their ancestral curse.
