Connected with Sacred Locations
All Spirit Folk but the Sea Spirit Folk are connected to a physical location that is considered sacred. The connection is not limited by distance so they are free to travel as far and long as they are comfortable with. The location can heal them but also any injuries to the location are reflected in the Spirit Folk. For instance, if the bamboo grove of a Bamboo Spirit Folk was infested with blight the Spirit Folk connected to it would become deathly ill until the blight was resolved.
Children of Humans and Nature Spirits
Spirit folk resemble humans, but with more delicate features. They have smooth, hairless skin, except on the top of their heads and their thin eyebrows. Both male and female prefer to keep their hair in a single long braid. They stand at 5 ft tall and have pale gold or vibrantly golden skin. They are slender and graceful and prefer clothing that is unrestrictive and beautiful. They paint or tattoo a family crest on their foreheads as well as symbols under their eyes that have some personal meaning to their individual such as a symbol of a wave for a Sea Spirit Folk.
The Best of Neighbors
Spirit folk get along well with most races. They are friendly and noninvasive. Spirit folk usually blend in with human societies. They live their lives as normal humans do, but are usually considered particularly wise or spiritually inclined by their peers. Humans who lived around Spirit Folk usually assume they are simply eccentric humans, rather than a separate species. The Spirit Folk get along best with humans but can also become close with Elves and other peaceful races that respect nature.

While not all Spirit Folk wish to fight, they are all prepared for it. You are proficient with Light and Medium armor as well as Simple weapons and 1 Martial weapon.
Speak with Animals
You are under the effects of the spell Speak with Animals permanently. You can comprehend and verbally communicate with Beasts, and you can use any of the Influence action’s skill options with them. Most Beasts have little to say about topics that don’t pertain to survival or companionship, but at minimum, a Beast can give you information about nearby locations and monsters, including whatever it has perceived within the past day.
