Bariaur
Mighty warriors that are half man half ram that usually roam the wilds of Yssgard, the Bariaur live for battle and overcoming challenges. They wield treasured clubs covered in runes that were made by powerful forefathers to protect their progeny. Wins and losses mean little to them as they focus on gaining experience in their pursuit of worthy challenges.
Celestial Centaur-Kin
While centaurs are half man half horse, a Bariaur is half man half ram or ewe. The males have horns on their head while the females do not. They have tan to brown skin and brown to gold fur. They usually weigh around 260 pounds and average a foot and half taller than most humans.
Tracing their roots to the Heaven of Ysgard the Bariaur are fundamentally good if chaotic in nature. They love fun but will prioritize facing evil every time. They are slow to trust most races but are steadfast allies of Celestials in general unless given a reason to distrust an individual.
Fun Loving Champions
Full of wanderlust and a love of nature, the Bariaur are formidable warriors that trample forth to slay evil. While most would see a Bariaur as carefree they would be proven wrong when they see one on a hunt to defend nature and greater good.
Bariaurs love nothing more than a challenge. Physical or mental is fair game. They love proving newcomers by challenging them to see if they are a good match and will get along. If it’s a challenge and not a fight they never take the outcome seriously, taking wins and losses as fun experiences for both sides. Even in intense times a Bariaur will find time to have some responsible fun.
Treasured Runed Greatclubs
Bariaurs are warriors and skilled with runes. Each family will maintain a number of Runed Greatclubs that are passed from warrior to warrior. After one reaches maturity it would be shameful to be unarmed. The loss of a Greatclub would be a dishonor on the individual and would be recovered at great cost. The Bariaur resent and hate Giants both for sharing runes and the countless battles against the Giants waged on the forces of Ysgard.
