Dryads, also known as wood nymphs, were fey-maidens who acted as the protectors of forests and trees. They are infamous for their charm ability and connection with nature. They change with the seasons and are bound to a single tree though they seem to jump from tree to tree as they ferociously defend their tree. If not defending their tree or enslaving men, they slip into an obsession with beauty, seeking to make everything beautify around them and accentuate their own beauty.
Seasonal Beauties
They appeared to be beautiful women with delicate features seemingly made of soft wood. They can also appear as normal appearing Elvish women, to a degree they are almost indistinguishable with the exception of their hair color and complexion. Their hair seemed to be made of leaves and foliage that changed color with the seasons of the calendar or of a corresponding hair color and complexion in accordance to the season. Such as white hair and fair skin in winter and green hair and skin in summer (The easiest time of the year to tell a Dryad from an Elvish woman).
Solitary Slavers
Dryads are solitary, they can form groups but as each is limited to a single, ancient Oak tree, their groups cannot exceed the amount of suitable Oaks in any given forest. While in the tree they are literally bound to the soul of the tree and cannot be interacted with in this state. If they do form a group it is usually purposeful by a being of great power to protect some sacred site or to cause the Dryads to worship them.
They target favored men who stray into their forests and keep them as slaves. Though they never become attached to their “toys” and will let them go if they stop being Charmed. They can only ever give birth to females of their species. The daughter will stay within the tree for 12 years until they leave to bind with another Oak tree.
Binding of a Dryad
Every Dryad is exclusively bound to Oak trees who are 50 years or older. A Dryads tree is indistinguishable from any normal Oak tree. Powerful Fey can sometimes bind lesser Fey to trees, which make up the general populace of Dryads. These trees served as the Dryad's life force and home. They fought to the death to protect their bonded tree, as should the tree be cut or destroyed, the Dryad died soon afterward. The tree and Dryad are bound forever unless a rare and powerful exorcism spell such as Dispel Evil and Good is performed. The Dryad has seven days to pick a new Oak tree or they wither and die. They have a Terel or zone of binding that are about 1,000 ft or begin to starve and die within 36 hours.
Acorn of Far Travel: If a Dryad spellcaster cast this spell on an acorn harvested from her bonded oak tree, she was considered to be in contact with her tree at all times, regardless of the actual distance between them. Thus she became able to travel great distances without growing sick.

Once per turn you can use 10 ft of your movement to step magically into a tree and emerge from a second living tree within 60 ft, both trees must be Large or bigger.
