Summoned

At times a god or mysterious force will call forth a Hero from another world to fight the battles that others may not be equipped to deal with. A Summoned Hero is unaware of their past until accepting their Noble Calling whereon an influx of information from their old world comes back to them in a rush. Oddly enough Summoned Heroes are exclusively Standard Humans leaving many sages to believe that all Summoned Heroes originate from the same world. These Heroes have a broad range of personality changes as their two lives mix together and develop interesting views on the world as they adapt to their new information. (Some interactions with your Limit Break and Legendary attack feature can be troublesome and it is up to your DM on how to resolve such interactions.)

A Unique Journey: A Summoned Hero’s Journey is a winding one where they must discover their Journey and its tenets as a part of their calling.

Lv 3

Otherworldly Information

Upon taking upon yourself your Noble Calling your previous life came back to you. You know that you came from a place called Earth but you also know that you were summoned here or was summoned and then reincarnated here. You have the same access to information that an average human from a country of your choice would have. However, knowledge of things such as science and physics does not change how the rules as written are.

Heroic Presence

Your Heroic Presence manifests itself and draws in information on the world around you aiding you as you acclimate to both worlds you are a part of. As an action you can touch a creature or object and learn information about them. If you touched an object it is as if you cast the spell Identify on the object. If you have touched a creature, it must make a WIS saving throw DC 8 + your CHA modifier (Minimum 1) + your Proficiency Bonus and on a failed save you learn the creature’s Alignment, Creature Type, and one Trait such as if it has the spellcasting trait. On a successful or failed save the creature remains unaware that anything occurred.

You can use this feature a number of times per long rest equal to your Proficiency Bonus.

Limit Break- Cheat Skill

Your Heroic journey has spanned at least two worlds at this point and in order to fulfill your calling you body, spirit, and mind have become somewhat malleable. You can use a reaction and select one trait or skill you have seen performed within the last 6 seconds and copy it until you use this feature again. In order to copy a trait or skill it must have been used within sight of you for its complete duration successfully.

Skills: For instance if you want to copy the Stealth skill you must see someone succeed a Stealth check or if you want to copy the ability to speak a certain language you must hear a native speaker or equivalent level of language skill.

Traits: If you were to copy Fire Resistance you must see a creature with Fire Resistance take damage. If you try to copy the spellcasting trait you must have seen the spell be cast and last its full duration. You can cast the spell once with CHA as your spellcasting ability score, then the spell is lost until you copy it again. This feature fails if the spell is greater than the value in the following table.

Your Limit Break automatically fails on Legendary or Mythical traits or features or if you try to copy a feature that comes from a biological feature that your body lacks. For instance if you try to gain a Flying speed from a creature with wings, since you do not have wings the copy fails. This feature also fails if the skill or trait encompasses multiple damage types or skills. For instance, you cannot copy Resistance to nonmagical Bludgeoning, Piercing, and Slashing damage.

Backlash: Being from two worlds and incorporating alien skills leaves you feeling alone and uneasy leading to an existential dread that eats away at you. While you are copying a skill/trait with your Limit Break if you gain a level of Madness or Exhaustion you gain twice as many levels and if a spell or attack would reduce your hit point maximum your hit point maximum is reduced by twice as much.

Lv 7

Heroic Spirit

Your mind and Heroic Spirit are always growing and adapting as they take in what is now alien information to half of yourself. If you succeed a D20 test you can store that feeling and information away allowing it to guide you. You can then use your reaction to gain advantage on the same type of D20 test and then lose the use of this feature until you choose to store a new successful D20 test (For instance is you succeed a Perception check you can gain advantage on another Perception check, the same for a successful CON saving throw for advantage on another CON saving throw, and a successful attack for advantage on another attack).

Lv 15

True Limit Break- Game the System

You can now hold two copied skills/traits at a time with your Limit Break feature. When you copy an additional skill/trait with your Limit Break feature you choose one of your previous copied skills/traits and you lose your ability to use it.

Lv 20

Legendary Attack- Overpowered

You have gained a novel and unique perspective on the fantastical world you now live in and can use your Heroic power to turn dangerous experiences to your advantage in the perfected form of your Limit Break. If you would be attacked by or affected by a spell, ability, or attack you can force the target to make a CHA saving throw DC 8 + your CHA modifier (Minimum 1) + your Proficiency Bonus and on a failed save you reflect the spell, ability, or attack back at the target. For instance if a Red Dragon uses its breath weapon on you and it fails the saving throw the flames blow backwards and engulf the Dragon nullifying the attack. If the spell, ability, or attack originates from an inanimate object such as an attack or ability from a magical item the attack or ability automatically fails and the object loses the ability to use that feature for 1D4 turns.

Once you successfully use this feature you expend all of your copied skills/traits. You can use this feature again once you have one or more copied skills/traits to expend.
