Assassin

You focus your training on the grim art of death. Those who adhere to this archetype are diverse: hired killers, spies, bounty hunters, and even specially anointed priests trained to exterminate the enemies of their deity. Stealth, Poison, and disguise help you eliminate your foes with deadly efficiency.

Subclass Features

Lv 3

Tools of the Assassin

You are adept with the basic skills that make up the bread and butter of an Assassin’s life. You gain proficiency with the Disguise Kit and the Poisoner's Kit and gain each of the tools.

Assassinate

You are at your deadliest when you get the drop on your enemies. You have advantage on attack rolls against any creature that hasn't taken a turn in the combat yet, if you successfully hit a creature that has not taken a turn yet they take additional damage of your weapon’s damage type equal to your Rogue level.

Any hit you score against a creature that is Surprised is a critical hit.

Lv 9

Infiltration Expertise

You can unerringly mimic a person’s speech and/or writing provided you studied them for 1 hour beforehand.

Your speed is not reduced to 0 ft by using Steady Aim.

Lv 13

Envenom Weapons

When you use your Poison option with your Cunning Strike the creature also takes 2D6 Poison damage on a failed saving throw. This damage ignores Resistance to Poison damage.

Lv 17

Death Strike

You become a master of instant death. When you attack and hit a creature that is Surprised, it must make a CON saving throw (DC 8 + your DEX modifier + your Proficiency Bonus). On a failed save, double the damage of your attack against the creature.
