Torturer

The Rogue that all other Rogue’s fear. They rarely take a life even though that is the wish of all those that they take the time to practice their skills on. They are called soulless monsters on a good day. On a bad day even Fiends and Undeads look away in disdain and fear. They are masters at getting information and breaking the wills of others.

Lv 3

Torturer

You are an artist with your tools of the trade. You have the Torturer's Kit and proficiency with it and with Intimidation checks.

Torture Methods

You know how to hurt people in all that you do. Any saving throw DC is equal to 8 + your INT modifier (Minimum 1) + your Proficiency Bonus. When you succeed an Intimidation check or land a hit on a creature with a melee attack you apply the correlating effect.

Words are Weapons: When you succeed an Intimidation check, the target takes Psychic damage equal to your result.

Weapons are Instruments: You imbue your weapons with malice. Your attacks deal bonus Psychic damage equal to your INT modifier (Minimum 1).

Lv 9

Advanced Torture Methods

There are so many ways to inflict pain, your training has opened up a new, terrifying world. When you succeed an Intimidation check or land a hit on a creature with a melee attack you apply the correlating effect.

Threaten: Your words are like daggers. On a failed WIS saving throw they take additional Psychic damage equal to your half your Intimidation check’s result rounded down.

Burn: Acid and Fire are a Torturer’s best friend. You deal 1D6 additional Acid or Fire damage on a melee attack.

Lv 13

Additional Torture Methods

You learn to apply different methods of torture. When you succeed an Intimidation check or land a hit on a creature with a melee attack you apply the correlating effect.

Exploit Fear: The target must make a WIS saving throw and on a failure they become Frightened. A creature Frightened this way cannot lie but can tell half truths.

Mutilate: You can Force the Blinded or Deafened condition on the creature until the end of their next turn.

Lv 17

Pain Artist

You learn to apply different methods of torture. When you succeed an Intimidation check or land a hit on a creature with a melee attack you apply the correlating effect.

Sensory Deprivation/Overload: You can force the Blinded or Deafened or Dumb condition on the creature until the end of their next turn. The target makes a WIS saving throw, on a failed save of less than 5 your DC you apply an additional condition. On a failed save of less than 10 your DC you apply all three conditions.

Disfigure: On a failed STR saving throw the target can only move, take an action, a bonus action, or reaction next turn. If the failed save was less than 10, they drop any weapons due to the pain of the torture.
