Scrolls
Scroll Wizards are the epitome of the classic image of a Wizard with scrolls bulging from their packs who always seem to have a response for any situation. They turn scribing scrolls into an artform and can coax spells from exotic materials. (This is a time intensive subclass that is only fill for certain mid shots for full campaigns, consult your DM before playing)
Subclass Features
Scroll Savant
You are adept at crafting spell scrolls. You have proficiency with Arcana. The gold and time you must spend to make a spell scroll are halved.
Careful Caster
When an artist such as yourself is interrupted from using a scroll, the scroll is not lost.
Endless Intuition
In your hands any scroll from any Class is plain to be read. You can cast a scroll from any Class as you normally would. You do not need to make checks to cast spells from scrolls that are less than two levels higher than you can normally cast.
Keep Them Handy
As long as the scroll you want is within 10 ft of you, you can use a bonus action to teleport it to your hand.
Arcane Resourcefulness
You can use the materials from a Monstrosity, Aberration, Fey, Fiend, Dragon, or Giant with the spellcasting ability to craft a spell scroll. The process takes a long rest to harvest the material and requires 2 GPs worth of paper and five times the creature’s CR to make the scroll.
The scroll will have one random spell the creature could cast.
Master Scroll Scriber
When you use your Arcane Resourcefulness feature, you can take time equal to ten times the creature’s CR days and create one spell scroll for every spell the creature could cast at the end of the process. You still have to pay the material costs associated with making the scroll as described in your Arcane Resourcefulness feature.
