Plague Doctor
Like an agent of Death itself you use your genius and cunning to bring about death on a massive scale. Your experiments are as dangerous as they are evil as you seek to perfect the mysterious forces behind disease and pestilence. Plague Doctors excel at inoculating themselves and dealing death to others.

Subclass Features
Speciality Spells
Your specialization and training grant you the following spells. You know the following spells and they do not count towards the number of spells you can prepare.
Proficiency
Your study of disease works both ways as you study both sides of life and death. You have proficiency with Herbalism Kits. If you already have this proficiency, you gain proficiency with one other type of Artisan's Tool of your choice.
Student of Profane Medicine
Your dedication and ingenuity has protected you. You are immune to Disease and have Resistance to Poison and saving throws against being Poisoned.
Disease Bearer
When you cast a spell from your Artificer Speciality you can apply one of the following effects. If the effect requires a saving throw it is a CON saving throw DC equal to your spell save DC.
Painful Disease: The creature(s) affected have disadvantage on their next attack roll as they grow painful boils.
Irritating Disease: The creature(s) spend their next turn using their bonus action to scratch inflamed skin and cannot take a reaction.
Bearer of Greater Disease
When you cast a spell from your Artificer Speciality you can apply one of the following additional effects
Head Piercing Disease: The creature(s) head throbs painfullying giving them disadvantage on WIS, INT, and CHA based skill checks for one minute, repeating the save at the end of each of their turns, ending the effect on a success.
Nauseating Disease: The creature(s) have a 1D6 penalty to all D20 tests for one minute, repeating the save at the end of each of their turns, ending the effect on a success as their head tilts and spins and their bowels twist.
Bearer of Superior Disease
When you cast a spell from your Artificer Speciality you can apply one of the following additional effects
Deadly Disease: The creature(s) take an additional 1D10 Poison or Necrotic damage as you infuse the spell with toxins or Necrotic energy.
Crippling Disease: The creature(s) movement speed becomes 0 ft for the next 1D4 turns as their bones ache and their muscles tremble.
Master of Contagion
You can cast the spell Contagion once per long rest without expending a spell slot. When you cast Contagion you choose two diseases and inflict them both on the target. Whenever a creature is reduced to zero hit points and are under the effect of Contagion you can spread the diseases one to two creatures or both to a single creature within 5 ft of the corpse and they repeat the saving throw.
Bearer of Supreme Disease
When you cast a spell from your Artificer Speciality you can apply one of the following additional effects
Feverish Disease: The creature(s) gain one level of Exhaustion as their body temperature is raised dangerously high. While the creature has this level of Exhaustion the creature can only take an action, bonus action, or reaction on each of their turns or until they succeed the saving throw three times, rolling at the end of each of their turns. A creature is Immune to this feature after ending the effect for 24 hours.
Heart Disease: The creature(s) heart is attacked, leading to intense pain dealing the creature 2D12 Necrotic damage and Reducing their hit point maximum by half the damage taken from this feature rounded down. If the creature’s hit point maximum is reduced to zero by this effect the creature dies as their heart explodes and they can no longer be revived by spells such as Revify though spells like Raise Dead can still be used. You can use a bonus action to deal 1D8 Necrotic damage to the afflicted creature by perpetuating the disease. You cannot use a Bearer of Disease feature the turn you use this bonus action. The creature remains afflicted with Heart Disease for one minute or until you do not spend a turn perpetuating the disease.
