Trickery

Gods of trickery are mischief-makers and instigators who stand as a constant challenge to the accepted order among both gods and mortals. They're patrons of thieves, scoundrels, gamblers, rebels, and liberators. Their clerics are a disruptive force in the world, puncturing pride, mocking tyrants, stealing from the rich, freeing captives, and flouting hollow traditions. They prefer subterfuge, pranks, deception, and theft rather than direct confrontation.

Subclass Features

Lv 3

Blessing of the Trickster

You can cast a protective aura to aid those that seek out mischief. You can use an action to give you or a creature within 30 ft of you advantage on Stealth checks until the target completes a long or short rest. You can use this feature once per short rest.

Invoke Duplicity

Your faith can aid you in a myriad of hijinks. Using a Channel Divinity you create a perfect replica of yourself within 30 ft of you. The illusion can imitate your facial expression perfectly. It is intangible and does not occupy its space. It lasts for 1 minute or until you dismiss it (Requiring no action) or become Incapacitated. You gain the following feature while this is active

You can cast spells as if they originated from the illusion’s space but you must use your own senses.

While you and your illusion are within 5 ft of a creature your illusion is distracting enough to give you advantage on attack rolls on the target.

As a bonus action you can move your illusion 30 ft as long as it remains within 120 ft of you.

Domain Spells

Your connection with the divine ensures you always have certain spells prepared. You know the following spells and they do not count towards the number of spells you can prepare.

Lv 6

Trickster’s Transposition

You can swap places with your replica to enable all sorts of hijinks. Whenever you create or move your illusion from Invoke Duplicity you can teleport, switching places with the illusion.

Scammers Don’t Get Scammed

Your senses are heightened enabling you to stay on the right side of a trick. You have advantage on Insight and Investigation checks. You know if a creature tries to gleam insight from you as long as they are on the same plane of existence as you.

Lv 17

Improved Invoke Duplicity

You can create up to three duplicates of yourself, instead of one, when you use Invoke Duplicity. You can choose to end the illusion for one or all of them (Requiring no action). You gain the following benefits in addition

Any ally within 5 ft of an illusion will gain advantage on their attack rolls.

Whenever you end an illusion you or a creature within 30 ft of the illusion regains a number of hit points equal to your Cleric Level.

As a bonus action on your turn, you can move any number of them up to 30 ft, to a maximum range of 120 ft.
