Heavenly Virtues

The opposition to what they consider to be degenerate Paladins. Some view Heavenly Paladins as stuck up, but not all are antagonistic. Most Heavenly Paladins are on a journey of self enlightenment as they exercise their virtues.

Ideals: All are on a journey and the end goal is entrance into the upper planes. You are to be an example as you cannot help others while you yourself are struggling.

Be your best self and help others be their best selves.

Stand in opposition to sin.

Never stop improving.

Subclass Features

Lv 3

Diligent Effort

Using your reaction you can use your Channel Divinity to bolster your efforts. Through your hard work you can add plus 10 to an ability check or attack roll.

Grateful Soul

You reciprocate the efforts of those that take care of you. When you are healed by another creature you can use your reaction to restore hit points equal to half the hit points you received to the creature that healed you.

Oath Spells

Your Oath and devotion grant you certain spells. You know the following spells and they do not count towards the number of spells you can prepare.

Lv 7

Temperate Aura

Temperance guides your mind and those that ally themselves with you. You and creatures within your Aura of Protection have a bonus to WIS saving throws equal to your CHA modifier (Minimum 1).

Chaste Being

You are Immune to the Charmed condition as you exert an iron will over your emotions and drives.

Lv 15

Patient Strike and Defense

After a turn in combat where you did not deal damage or attack another creature, you gain advantage on all attack rolls for that turn. Your patience is rewarded as an attack landed with this feature rolls its damage die/dice with advantage.

The turn after you take damage you gain plus three AC until the end of your turn as you learn their attack patterns and can defend against them.

Charitable Nature

You can use the Help action as a bonus action. An attack or task that is rolled with your Help action adds a bonus equal to your CHA modifier (Minimum 1).

Lv 20

True Humility

You are adept at lightening the loads of others. If an ally within your Aura of Protection would have disadvantage on an attack roll, saving throw, or ability check you can use your reaction to negate the disadvantage and take your next roll or ability check of the same type with disadvantage. If you succeed a roll or check taken at disadvantage with this feature it becomes a critical success.

You can use this feature times per long rest equal to your CHA modifier (Minimum 1).

A critical attack with this feature deals an additional damage die.

A critical ability check with this feature can defy logic for success (An Athletic check to throw a Gargantuan dragon would allow you to throw it 10 ft, or a similar result as explained by your DM).

A critical saving throw gives you no additional effects (Such as taking half damage on a successful save for a dragon’s breath weapon).

Any disadvantage accumulated through this feature is reset after an hour.
