Pressure Points

Skilled in the art of acupressure these Monks have turned the healing art into an art of war. They find kinship with the Monks of Mercy but lack their mystical arts, favoring the Locus Points found through meticulous study that all bodies have. Attacking these Locus Points can cause a number of conditions.

Subclass Features

Lv 3

Art of Acupressure

Your touch can heal and your studies in medicine are broad and comprehensive. You have proficiency in Medicine and Herbalism Kits.

Locus Points

You have learned to hit points within the body called Locus Points. Constructs, Elementals, and ephemeral beings such as Ghosts do not have Locus Points. A creature hit by your strike can gradually be hit in their Locus Points until the desired Locus Point is hit. If the creature is not hit with an unarmed strike from you each turn, the Locus Points become unblocked again.

Your studies have shown you where and how to hit the Sound Locus Point. When you land an unarmed strike on a target you can impede their Sound Locus. The target becomes Deafened until the end of their next turn.

You can use a bonus action to end the Deafened condition on a willing target within 5 ft of you.

Lv 6

Light Locus Point

Your studies have shown you where and how to hit the Light Locus Point. When you land two unarmed strikes on a target that has not had a Locus Point impeded, you can impede their Light Locus. The target becomes Blinded until the end of their next turn.

You can use a bonus action to end the Blinded condition on a willing target within 5 ft of you.

Ki Infused Locus Strikes

You can extend the impediment of Locus Points by infusing your strikes with Ki. When you impede a Locus Point you can expend between 1-4 Ki points to extend the effects of the impeded Locus. Each Ki point spend extends the effect by 1 turn.

Lv 11

Thought Locus Point

Your studies have shown you where and how to hit the Thought Locus Point. When you land three unarmed strikes on a target that has not had a Locus Point impeded, you can impede their Thought Locus. The target becomes Frightened until the end of their next turn.

You can use a bonus action to end the Frightened condition on a willing target within 5 ft of you.

Wholeness Locus Point

Your studies have shown you where and how to hit the Wholeness Locus Point. You learn to harness your abilities to heal others in the midst of combat. If you make an unarmed strike on an ally you can enhance their Wholeness Locus. They are healed equal to the damage you would have dealt + your Monk Level.

A creature can only have their Wholeness Locus enhanced once per long rest.

Lv 17

Locus Mastery

When you land four unarmed strikes on a target that has not had a Locus Point impeded, you can impede their Movement Locus. The target becomes Paralyzed until the end of their next turn.

The Movement Locus is singular and can only be extended one turn using 3 Ki points.

You can use a bonus action to end the Paralyzed condition on a willing target within 5 ft of you.
