Pugilist

The strength based Pugilist Monk disregards the need to dodge and use acrobatics to tank hits and hit harder. They train their bodies to an extreme degree to overpower others through strength of body. Pugilist Monks wear the minimum clothing to show their physique as well as show that they have nothing to hide for their enemies.

Subclass Features

Lv 3

The Strength of Ages

You have trained your body to use its vast array of muscles to be highly versatile. You can use your STR score whenever you could use DEX. Such as your Unarmored Defense, saving throws, skill checks, and attacks.

Your STR score maximum is 22.

Overpower

Even “simple” combat maneuvers can leave your opponents battered with your strength. When you use the Shove or Grapple actions the creature takes Bludgeoning damage equal to one roll of your martial arts die.

You can expend one Ki point each turn to add an additional damage die on a successful unarmed strike.

Lv 6

Title Holder

Pugilists earn Titles as they progress determined by their weight or creature size as is tradition. Choose appropriate one title and gain the corresponding benefits

Lv 11

Adaptive Combatant

You are constantly learning during each fight. Each time you successfully land an unarmed strike you gain +1 to AC until the start of your next turn and begin the next turn with an additional hit bonus equal to that result.

Lv 17

God of Fists

When you use your Overpower feature you add two rolls of your martial arts die to the damage.

When you use your Flurry of Blows you add your Proficiency Bonus to the damage.

Your STR score maximum becomes 24 and you gain +1 STR.
