Abyssal

Touched by demonic magic these Sorcerers deal in the black arts. They exist to sow temptation and corruption like the evil beings spawned from the Abyss. They become forces of chaos and evil. The Abyss slowly takes all away from them until they are a chaotic husk of evil.

Subclass Features

Lv 3

Origin Spells

Your newly discovered origin ensures you always have certain spells prepared. You know the following spells and they do not count towards the number of spells you can prepare.

Demon-Touched

You can see in Darkness or magical Darkness to a range of 60 ft. You can read and write Abyssal.

You are Immune to Poison damage and the Poisoned condition.

Lv 6

Gaze into the Abyss

You look inwards to the never ending Abyss within yourself and lose a piece of yourself. You become Resistant to Cold and Fire damage and have a bonus to saving throws against being Charmed or Frightened equal to your CHA modifier (Minimum 1).

Lv 14

Corrupted Magic

The dark powers within you take notice of you and will lend aid as you crush law and life. When you cast a spell from your Origin Spell list you may use your Twinned Spell Metamagic feature (As long as it is a valid spell) without using a Sorcery Point; it then targets a random creature within the spell’s range as long as it is a valid target.

Lv 18

The Abyss Gazes Back

The Abyss whispers forbidden knowledge to you in your dreams. During a long rest or any period of sleep, magical or otherwise, you can make a DC 18 WIS save and try to piece together the knowledge you received from the dream. As a successful save you know the name of the next Demon you summon. On a failed save the first spell you cast in the next 24 hours must be from your Origin Spell list.

You lose a piece of yourself upon gaining this feature. You are Resistant to Psychic damage.
