Subclass Features

Lv 3

Connection Spells

The connection you formed ensures you always have certain spells prepared. You know the following spells and they do not count towards the number of spells you can prepare.

Summoner Training

Your ancestor shares with you the secrets and techniques of the Summoner. You gain proficiency with Calligrapher’s Supplies as well as two of the following skills: Animal Handling, Arcana, Insight, Medicine, Nature, Persuasion or Survival. In addition you learn Abyssal or one other language if you know Abyssal already.

Convoked Spells

Your magic is forever touched by summoning magic. When you cast one of your Connection Spells you can choose to cast the spell without the need to maintain concentration. If you do so the spell remains active for 1 minute and if the summon is a creature it takes the Dodge action on each of its turns if you fall Unconscious during this time.

You can use this feature once per long or short rest.

Lv 5

Blessing of the Shamanic Ancestor

Your ancestor blesses you greatly. You gain proficiency with INT saving throws.

Lv 6

The Convoker’s Circle

Your ancestor lends you their trusty Summoner’s Circle in times of crisis. You can use a reaction to call upon your ancestor to send their aid, giving you advantage on saving throws to maintain concentration on spells until the end of the round.

You can use this feature times per long rest equal to your WIS modifier (Minimum 1).

Lv 10

Convoker Revival

You are taught a lesser version of a secret Summoner art. You can end the effects of a spell from your Connection Spell list as a reaction and expend one hit dice and regain that many hit points + your WIS modifier (Minimum 1) + the spell’s level.

You can use this feature once per long or short rest.

Lv 14

Protective Summon

You are taught a lesser version of the Guardian Summon feature of Summoners. When you would be reduced to zero hit points with an active spell from the Connection Spell list you can use a reaction to end the spell’s effect and attempt a CON saving throw DC + 5 the amount of damage taken and on a success you remain at one hit point.

You can use this feature once per long rest.

Lv 17

Convoker Stand

Your connection allows your ancestor to take on flesh again for brief periods to aid you. You can use one action to summon your ancestor in the form of a Convoker Stand that acts after your turn in initiative and acts according to your direction for one minute. The Convoker Stand takes the form of a dark and foreboding figure wielding an ebon staff. If you fall Unconscious your Stand takes the Dodge action on each of its turns or you can use a reaction to dismiss the Stand and remain at one hit point.

You can use this feature once per long rest.
