Archdevil

All Archdevils stipulate that you must kill and undermine demons and those under their power. Each Archdevil has a different curse associated with them. Archdevils are the epitome of the systematic corruption and destruction of their opponents.

Zariel

A fallen angel appointed as an archdevil by Asmodeus himself. She is a warmonger and judges others by their combat prowess. She equally loves discipline and zealots. She plunges headfirst into battles against demonkind. Those wanting martial prowess or warmongers themselves followed her.

Curse: If you fail to fight every 24 minus your level hours you gain one level of Exhaustion.

Bel

Calm and calculating with strength to match his intelligence. He won battles through all manner of stratagem and scheming. An oath to him would surely involve an oath to never lose in battle.

Curse: If you lose a fight you are racked with a level of short term Madness.

Amduscias

The shapechanger, who changes between a sickly yellow unicorn, a humanoid with a falconoid head and a great wolf with a serpentine tail. He is a negotiator and understands and speaks all languages perfectly.

Curse: You are to mediate between the forces of Baator and become cross if you lose a Persuasion check.

Malphas

Appearing as a dark skinned human or a giant raven like creature he excels at manipulation .

When you touch a creature they must make a WIS saving throw or become afraid of you for one minute, you have advantage on Intimidation checks on the target. On a successful save the target is Immune to this effect for 24 hours.

Dispater

The manifestation of caution. Master of strategy and intrigue, viewed as the most cunning of the Archdevils. The suave, yet malicious manipulator.

Curse: Metals you touch that are not provided by Dispater or are being carried by another creature are turned to iron and after 1 hour of contact are disintegrated.

Titivillus

Although physically weak he is renowned for his ability to twist words and cause confusion. A master of negotiation. He deals with those that help cement his somewhat precarious position in the second layer of hell.

Curse: Each time you fail to convince or trick someone by failing a Sleight of Hand or Deception check you are with a level of short term Madness.

Mammon

The literally and metaphorically two faced archdevil. He is possibly the most wealthy being in existence. He is a hunter of prey and wealth. His deals exclusively deal in wealth. He is shameless and uncaring in his pursuit of wealth. Mammon has no “good side” ; he is purely self absorbed, paranoid, and hedonistically inclined.

Pacts begin with betraying a close friend and a disgusting act of hedonism.

Curse: Each night you commit a hedonistic act and if you make money from it, you avoid any negative penalties from the roll of the Hedonistic Table for that instance.

Bael

A tactical genius and physical powerhouse who fails in the political intrigue of hell. He has no interest outside of battle. Those who serve him are usually those who had fallen to him in combat because more often than killing his enemies he allows them to live on the condition of swearing allegiance to him.

Curse: You are unable to kill intelligent creatures (Creatures with an INT score of 8 or more) you fight but are forced to break them until they submit to Bael.

Fierna

The indecent “party girl” of the line hells. She is prone to acts of anger and literally bursts into flame with little to no warning. She is a master of charisma and emotional manipulation said to be only rivaled by Asmodeus himself. She portrays herself as a patron of flames and pleasure. She deals with the lovesick and manipulative.

Curse: When you get angry you burst into flames and deal 1D6 to yourself and each creature touching you (There must be a legitimate in character reason to be angry).

Belial

The most masculine and handsome of the archdevils. He is vain and loves dominating others. He is a manifestation of lust. Lust equal in bloodlust and debauchery. He never becomes so caught up as to become distracted, he is always calculating. His followers seek out forbidden perversions and/or to assert power over others or to simply cause pain.

Curse: Roll 1D4 once you make the pact. If you fail to fulfill the requirements of the curse you gain one level of short term Madness.

Levistus

The most hated Archdevil of all, currently imprisoned in a massive iceberg. He is a master swordsman with the ability to drain memories with a touch. He targets outcasts and the forgotten ones of society for pacts. He especially loves the traitorous and vengeful who have done incredibly heinous acts. His followers usually dress flamboyantly and are masters of the rapier. He is also a patron of survivors as part of his punishment he is forced to offer aid to the lone and doomed in return for their services.

Curse: You are to offer another soul in place of yours each month you remain on the material plane. The soul is dragged to the Nine Hells. Failing a single day has you reborn as a Lemure and taken to Baator.

Geryon

He seeks power after being ousted from his position. He is known as a barbaric and disgusting fighter which is juxtaposed to his love of neatness and almost obsessive organization. He is famed for his strength and venomous stinger.

Curse: You are obsessed with neatness and organization to the point that you cannot sleep in disorganized rooms and hit with disadvantage in severely cluttered battlefields on a failed DC 17 CHA saving throw.

Glasya

The wildcard of the nine hells. She flippantly ignores rules and tradition as it suits her, mainly for the shock factor. She is fond of verbal torture. She cannot stand ugliness and loves beauty going as far to spare handsome males who are open to her seductions. She has an added constraint by Asmodeus that those following her must obtain their desires through lawful means, which she gleefully tries to misinterpret and work the system.

Curse: You have a desire that consumes you, but you must obtain it in a lawful manner. Breaking this leads to your rebirth as a Lemure and being taken to Baator (Discuss with your DM to determine an appropriate desire, such as spending a certain amount of money each week or succeeding a certain amount of Intimidation checks).

Baalzebul

Known as the lord of the flies and lord of lies for various reasons. He is perfectionistic in the extreme, even to the point of undermining himself. He resents being cursed to become a giant slug instead of his beautiful, celestial form. He is known as the second most powerful and influential devil in the nine hells. His followers usually take the form of vast conspiracies against governments or beings of violent, cunning nature.

Curse: You share the curse of perfectionism. If you miss an attack you must make a DC 15 CHA saving throw or for the next minute you attack recklessly, attack with advantage and have all attacks on you having advantage until your next turn.

Lilith (Female Exclusive)

Heart Achingly beautiful she is presented as the rejected lover, and favors those who are in a similar situation. She is sadistic and loves verbal and physical torture. She is not very interested in things on the mortal plane and if someone displeases her she will appear and have them renounce their faith and then slowly turn them into a larvae.

Curse: Your personality is twisted. You become sadistic and love to verbally and physically torture males and seek to get them to love you and then break them.

Mephisto

One of the most powerful devils in hell. When you think of a classic devil, you think of him. He is known as both the Cold lord and the lord of hellFire and is the single most powerful wizard in all the nine levels. He is Cold and collective but at times explosive and full of insane rage.

The initiation is often burning a sacrificial person in magical flames while they are alive.

Curse: You are cursed with bipolarism. At the start of each day roll a die and on an even you are cold and indifferent and on an odd you are full of explosive rage.

Hutijin

A devil that values loyalty, which is rare if not unique. He hates mortals and unerringly deals death to those that dare summon him. He does offer quick deals although he will attempt to kill you after the deal is struck without fail. He seeks to kill those that know how to summon him or even know his name to prevent these summonings.

Curse: You are now pursued by your “Patron”; he will seek to kill you and cut off your hidden knowledge.

Moloch

Exiled from the nine hells, he seeks to return. He bargains for knowledge in return for power and wealth. He seeks to return to hell with an army and great knowledge and with magical items at his disposal as he seeks to take over hell.

Curse: You inadvertently become exiled from your own home until your Patron is returned to his realm. You cannot interact with anyone from there and take psychological damage while there.

Asmodeus

The undisputed king of the Nine Hells and a god in his own right. He is the patron of oppression and power. He is easily the most reasonable and generous of all the archdevils as long as your soul was one the line. He has absolute control in the nine hells.

Curse: Each week you will be required to roll 1D20, on a natural one your service is unneeded and you are consumed body and soul. You may reroll once during the course of your service to Asmodeus.

Subclass Features

Lv 3

Patron Spells

Your newly revealed Patron ensures you always have certain spells prepared. You know the following spells and they do not count towards the number of spells you can prepare.

Dark One's Blessing

You feed on the misfortune of others. When you reduce a hostile creature to 0 hit points, you gain temporary hit points equal to your CHA modifier + your Warlock level (minimum of 1).

Lv 6

Dark One's Own Luck

You can call on your patron to alter fate in your favor. When you make an ability check or a saving throw, you can use this feature to add a D10 to your roll. You can do so after seeing the initial roll but before any of the roll's effects occur.

Once you use this feature, you can't use it again until you finish a short or long rest.

Lv 10

Fiendish Resilience

You can choose one damage type when you finish a short or long rest. You gain Resistance to that damage type until you choose a different one with this feature. Damage from magical weapons or silver weapons ignores this Resistance.

Lv 14

Hurl Through Hell

When you hit a creature with an attack, you can use this feature to instantly transport the target through the lower planes. The creature disappears and hurtles through a nightmare landscape. At the end of your next turn, the target returns to the space it previously occupied, or the nearest unoccupied space. If the target is not a Fiend, it takes 10D10 Psychic damage as it reels from its horrific experience.

You can use this feature once per long rest.
